Jorge Sanz Pineda, Guaguanco Pattern, 2018

Jorge’s marimba and set-up playing as well as his conga and timbales playing is of extreme high level which makes him a very unique percussion player.

Body Resonance (Cello Concerto)
Four movements are embedded in this piece—corresponding to the four classical elements. The cello part spans the entire expressive capability of the instrument from the rich, earthy creaking to ethereal harmonics. | Cello Soloist: Julia Barahal |Conductor: Hans Leenders | Ensemble: Students of the Rotterdams Conservatorium | Recording: Viktor Velthuijs | Performed here (at the premiere) in Korzo, Den Haag 0n 19/01/19.

Jago is an extraordinary talent who, in a short period of time, transformed from a musicologist into a strong composer. He showed himself a productive composer, researcher of sound, and virtuoso in live electronica.
